Nvidia 5090 Pre-Release Blender Benchmarks

Our first look at the Blender rendering performance of the soon to be released Nvidia RTX 5090 has been revealed via a single early benchmark on the official Blender website, see link: https://opendata.blender.org/benchmarks/query/?compute_type=OPTIX&compute_type=CUDA&compute_type=HIP&compute_type=METAL&compute_type=ONEAPI&blender_version=3.6.0&group_by=device_name

Note the score difference compared to the previous generation RTX 4090 and current top of the line professional GPU the RTX 6000 Ada:

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 = 17822.17

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 = 13069.01

NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation = 11929.16

Disclaimer: It’s worth noting that the 5090 number is from a single test, and that we are unaware of the other system components. Moreover, the test was done using Blender version 3.6.X which has since been surpassed by multiple versions, with the latest release as of writing being 4.3.X. As a result of the factors above, we cannot verify these results and therefore cannot guarantee that this will be the typical performance of Nvidia’s latest flagship consumer GPU.
